Venues and zones
A venue represents the site hosting the event, such as a hall or exhibition center. A zone identifies a more specific area, such as reception or backstage. These resources can carry custom fields and documents.
You need permission to manage venues or zones to create them. View permission only allows you to read their records.
Create a venue
- In the organization menu, open Venues and zones → Venues.
- Select Add a venue.
- Enter the Venue name, for example “Horizon Hall”, and requested fields.
- Select Save.
Click the venue name to open its preview. Link documents lets you choose library files there. Use Open full profile, then the Documents tab, to find its plans and documents. Documents linked to the venue can be found in associated events according to reading permissions.
Create a zone
- Open Venues and zones → Zones.
- Select Add a zone.
- Enter the Zone name, for example “Main reception”.
- Set its Venue and other useful fields, then Create.
A catalog zone is reusable. Check its name and associated venue in the catalog before reusing it.
Maintain records
Use search, filters and columns to find venues or zones. To add structured information, prepare a resource field, then fill it in on the records.
An unused venue can be archived and unarchived. Before deleting, read the displayed consequences for its links; removing a resource is different from deleting its associated events or files.
