Frequently asked questions
Do I need a template before my first event?
No. Choose Start from scratch to create your first event. Once you know which information and settings to reuse, prepare an event template. You can also reuse a past event.
What is the difference between a timeline and a template?
A timeline supplies time references, such as doors opening or the end of a show. A template prepares more: event settings, run sheet entries or checklist tasks, depending on its type. Choose the template matching what you want to reuse.
Does editing a template update existing copies?
No. Events, run sheets and checklists already created from a template remain independent. Edit the relevant copy if it needs to change; the next creation uses the updated template.
Function, role and dynamic role: which should I use?
A function describes work in a team, such as welcome agent. A permissions role defines what someone can see or do. A dynamic role assigns a reusable responsibility, such as “Entrance check”, to its holder in each event. See Teams and Roles and permissions.
Can someone without an account participate?
You can register an external contact when this option is enabled. They receive no application access. For someone who needs to sign in, invite a member or arrange suitable temporary access.
Why is a command missing on my phone?
Some preparation commands are designed for a tablet or computer. Modules, permissions and event state can also limit commands. See Use EventOps on a phone, then A button or module is missing.
Where can I ask for help?
Troubleshooting brings together useful checks. If the problem persists, opens a form on this page. Describe the action and message you saw, without passwords or authentication codes.
